Business Advertising

If you own a business it is important to be clear on your advertising strategy. There are many different ways to advertise. TV, radio, and print ads are always affective, however they are extremely expensive. If you are on a limited budget, the internet offers great ways to advertise for less or even free. You can also spend a minimal amount of money on promotional products which will in turn promote loyal customers and word of mouth advertising.

When marketing on the internet there are two types of advertising strategies: paid and organic. Paid advertising is when you use pay-per-click or you pay individual websites to post banners or ads for you. Pay-per-click advertising is probably the most effective but can turn very costly as you pay for every time someone clicks on your link whether they purchase something or not. Using pay-per-click will also get more people to visit your website, and the more your website is viewed the higher up on the search engine rankings you will be.

Organic advertising is when you advertise your website via blogs, social networking sites, and article directories in order to get hits on your website. Organic advertising is advertising that you do not pay for. This is a great option if you are on a limited budget; however it takes a lot more time to move your website to the top of the search engine pages.

Another way to advertise is by promotional products. By putting your business name, logo, and contact info on a water bottle, notes pad, pen, or Frisbee your customer will think of you every time they use the product. Unlike a brochure or business card these products are not things that they will throw away immediately. Then when your services or products are needed, you will be the first company they will call.
